Frequently Asked Questions
What is an escape room?Real-life room escape games are a type of physical adventure game in which people are locked in a room with other participants and have to use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles, find clues, and escape the room within a set time limit.
Wait, so am I really locked in?Yes.
What if I freak out and can’t find the escape? Each room will be equipped with a mushroom shaped red button at the exit door. If this button is pressed by a player, the door will open and the player can exit. The rest of the team can continue to play, but the player that left the room may not return. The game master from the control room also has the ability to unlock the door in case of an emergency. All of our rooms are outfitted with surveillance cameras and will be actively monitored by our trained staff for your safety.
Can I book a team building/corporate event?Absolutely! We allow up to 10 participants for Helter Skelter, 6 participants for Like a Surgeon and 6 participants for Pirate Plunder. Please book the room and then send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with your booked date/time and a list of names and email addresses of all participants. If you are interested in booking the entire facility please email or call us at 727-330-3617.
Will I be paired with another group?Depending on the availability of rooms and the size of your team, you may be joined by another group. If you would like a private escape room experience, a minimum of 9 tickets for Helter Skelter and a minimum of 5 tickets must be purchased for Like a Surgeon and Pirate Plunder. When you book the entire room you will receive $2.00 off each ticket.
Should we arrive early?Yes! We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled start time.
This sounds like a party, can I drink alcohol during a game? No! We need you to be able to make a break and escape! If you have been drinking, well you may never find your way out. If we suspect alcohol you will be asked to leave.
What is the minimum age?Children under the age of 10 permitted to Helter Skelter and Like a Surgeron, however one adult over the age of 18 must participate. Children 7 and under permitted to Like Pirate Plunder, however, one adult over the age of 18 must participate.
